liquid skies – series
Liquid Skies is a photographic series that captures the magic and hidden beauty of reflections in puddles and bodies of water, creating images that, at first glance, don’t immediately reveal their reflective nature. Each shot may appear to depict a straightforward, real scene—yet upon closer inspection, the viewer discovers they are actually looking at a reflection: an inverted and distorted vision of a parallel reality.
This play on perception is present in every image—clouds seem to float on asphalt, trees rise majestically as if rooted in water, and skies mirror themselves, creating illusions of infinite depth. Initially, the viewer might not realize they’re gazing into a puddle—a window of water that reflects the world. These reflective surfaces, with their calm and shining textures, amplify the illusion, composing harmonious scenes where the line between reality and reflection gently dissolves.
The allure of Liquid Skies lies in this very ambiguity. Each photograph is an invitation to look beyond the surface, to discover the hidden beauty in everyday details, and to be surprised by the poetry concealed within reflections. The visual challenge posed by these images encourages a deeper contemplation on perception and reality, turning the ordinary into something extraordinary.
