runografie
Runografie is a series of one-of-a-kind collage works that bring together runic writing and a contemporary visual language.
Each piece emerges through a process of symbolic attunement. Beginning with a personal reading—rooted in a name, an intention, or a question—the runes that will shape the composition gradually reveal themselves. Drawn in black, these signs interact with soft, archetypal forms—circles, arcs, crescents—and a restrained palette of pale yellow, terracotta, powder blue, and sage green set against a warm white ground.
The imagery that unfolds within each collage is closely connected to the visual universe ofThe Sign and the Wind – Intuitive Runic Oracle. Both bodies of work share the same symbolic language and stem from an ongoing meditation on the 24 archetypal runes.
Each collage is entirely handmade, using painted paper that is individually cut and assembled. The slow, deliberate act of cutting and layering becomes a kind of ritual gesture, where every chromatic decision and formal balance arises from an inner movement before an aesthetic one.
What emerges is a landscape of the inner self—not a literal representation of symbols, but a quiet, contemplative presence. Each work can be understood as an archetypal portrait, offering a space for reflection, memory, and transformation.
Every Runografia is signed and accompanied by a short text that traces the runes that surfaced and the symbolic relationships between them.
